Want to know the sex?

I do. The wifey doesn't. This means even more names to reduce down to the final choice.

I keep telling her that I'm going to find out, and I'll keep it a secret if she wants me to.

A friend of mine says that it is important to know ahead of time because, "what if you're disappointed if the doctor says what you weren't expecting?" You don't want to feel disappointment at your child's birth.

What did they do back in the day when you couldn't tell what it would be? Either way dad's around the world smoked a cigar and said, "yep, I knew it all along."

Trying to pick a name

Julie and I have not agreed on any name choices. This is not a new phenomenon, it has been going on for a while. She likes Tallulah, while I would rather not give my child a complex.

I've been reading baby names too long now. I like some client names though, here are some of mine:

Charlestavious
Takeyolow
Lettice
Arettonette

Nah, I'm thinking maybe something simple, like Bob or Amy.

Cape Cod Lighthouse Was Missing?

I grew up outside Boston. When we were young, my parents would take my brother and I to Cape Cod for camping, beach trips, all the good stuff that little boys like to do. We would always check out the lighthouses (because they're cool, of course) when we were out there, sometimes from the beach, sometimes we'd walk right up to them. Today, I found out some very interesting things...

This lighthouse was dismantled in Cape Cod in the 1920's and thought to have been destroyed. It was actually boxed up and sent to California, as reported in this month's Lighthouse Digest. The most interesting part of the story: There's a magaznie called LIGHTHOUSE DIGEST!!!
